After a company submits our intake form, we look at their public website before we meet. This page states exactly what that means and nothing more.
The public pages of the website you gave us, plus, where a real public API exists, official business registries. Nothing else.
Nothing about individual people is collected. If a page we find turns out to be about a person rather than the business, we discard it.
It's the same thing a consultant does by reading a prospective client's website before a first meeting — done consistently, and recorded so it can be checked. It is used to prepare for a consult and for nothing else: no mailing lists, no sales outreach, no sharing, no sale of data.
We check your site's robots.txt before requesting anything
else, and we identify ourselves honestly in every request we make — the
request itself names this page.
You can ask us what we hold about your organization, or ask us to delete the material we gathered from your website. Write to jl@automaticdeveloper.com and we will act on it.
What we gather is kept for as long as we might reasonably work together, and reviewed rather than automatically refreshed — nothing is re-fetched on a schedule, only when someone here deliberately asks for an update.
